How to Clean Your Kitchen Cabinetry
So you finally have the kitchen of your dreams, don’t you wish it could look this good forever? It’s important to clean your cabinetry the right way to keep it beautiful and damage-free for years to come. Want to know how? Here’s a list of what to do and what not to do when cleaning your cabinetry.
Spills happen, but when they do, make sure you’re cleaning and drying your cabinetry right away. Air-drying is a no-no. Any wet residue from water, soap or other cleaner should be wiped off immediately.
Use a damp cotton cloth to clean daily spills. Be sure to use only mild soaps and cleaners on a damp cotton cloth for tougher stains. Lastly, when splatters happen, clean it right away with a wet sponge. Keep in mind that you should always wipe the surface with a dry cotton cloth after cleaning to dry the surface. Don’t leave it to air dry!
Don’t use any harsh cleaners or abrasive pads directly on the cabinet surface because it can damage the finish. Wax polish and silicon polish are also not good for your cabinets. Wax polish can leave a build-up while silicon polish can damage the finish.
